Orlagh Sampson is a Chartered Physiotherapist who has worked extensively in her field with an impressive client list from around the world, Dublin, London, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Orlagh established Orlagh Sampson Physiotherapy in 2001, initially in the Cabra area of Dublin. Orlagh’s vision is always to treat her patients as a whole, she recognises that we are metal/emotional beings, not just physical.

Orlagh trained as a physiotherapist in Guy’s Hospital London, sat the U.S. board exams in Chicago and completed her Masters in Sports Medicine in UCD. She also completed a 3 year diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Lansdown College, Dublin, a diploma in Homeopathic Medicine from Santa Monica, California and is a qualified Pilates instructor.

Orlagh would love to complete a PhD some day!

Orlagh chose a career in physiotherapy from her love of sport. Orlagh had the honour to represent Ireland and Leinster as a junior Badminton player and was privileged to be asked to be involved in  the Irish Boxing team, canoe slalom team, Riverdance and the set of “King Arthur”.

Orlagh would consider herself as being a movement specialist. She believes in a patient centred approach to physiotherapy treatment. Listen first, then treat! This is the ethos that she instils  in her physiotherapist that work in the practice.

Orlagh loves her work and finds it very rewarding and satisfying and hopes never to retire!

Why Choose Us?

We are a team of professional movement specialists dedicated to treating the individual, not just the injury.

Our Approach

We believe in the intimate connection between movement patterns and musculoskeletal pain to assess the source of the injury.

We assess stability, flexibility, mechanical and neuromuscular functions then collaborate to correct and get to the core of your problem.

Here’s what just some of our clients have said

“Orlagh has treated my arthritic back for years. I honestly don’t know how I would manage without her! She has taught me about pain management, rehabilitation and maintenance and I am pretty much pain free these days. I highly recommend Sampson Physiotherapy”

Martina McDonnell

“I attended physio for Piriformis Syndrome, which was very successful. I found the overall experience very satisfactory and would definitely recommend the service to others (or myself in the future!) The service was 100% what I would expect.”

“Want to say a massive thanks to orlagh, not only has she been a great physio to me over many years. Orlagh helped me greatly last week with my fear and anxiety over flying with acupuncture. This ladies talents are endless, so thank you very much for all your help.”

Linda Travers

Because of Orlagh’s measured approach and professionalism I now have stronger knees (and legs!), lower back and core strength then I have had in perhaps 10 years. My body works better and I feel great. Thanks Orlagh!”
